Preparation of the presentation (presentation slides or poster):
Please upload your presentation to the Online Registry by 26.08.2024. It will be available to you at the congress in your respective lecture room or on your assigned poster stand. In case of technical difficulties or as a backup, you can bring your presentation to the conference on a USB stick. A central media desk is available in the checkroom. In this case, your presentation should be handed in at the media desk at least 1 hour before the start of the lecture. Both options – uploading in advance and/or submitting on site at short notice – are possible for all contribution types.
Please note the following specifications:
- Conventional presentation: PDF or PowerPoint presentation (16:9), which Presentation length may not exceed 11 minutes (conference part 1) or 8 minutes (conference part 2) do not exceed. The discussion time per presentation is 4 minutes. Strict attention is paid to timekeeping.
- Poster presentation: One-page PDF in landscape format (16:9), maximum file size 16 MB, minimum font size 12 recommended (display on 55″/65″ monitor), 3 minutes presentation, 3 minutes discussion. The upload deadline of 26 August 2024 is mandatory for posters. As there are Smart Poster Steles this year, digital submission is sufficient. A printout is not required.
- Symposium contribution: total length 60/90 minutes (see program); please discuss the scope, length and uploading of individual contributions with the authors of the abstract.
- Workshop: 60/90 minutes (see program) with a thematic, practical and/or methodical focus and an interactive, activating format
The sessions are usually accompanied by two session chairs, who are responsible for moderation and time management.
General information on technical equipment:
Each lecture room is equipped with a notebook and data projector or screen for a PDF or PowerPoint presentation in 16:9 format. Your presentation will be uploaded centrally via the online registry or via the media reception and can be accessed at your presentation location (room or poster stand). Please note that it is not possible to use your own laptop. During the session, each speaker controls their own presentation via radio presenter. Room support is available for each room or stele.
Use of Apple and Linux:
We ask you to create your presentation compatible with Microsoft Office.
Integrated videos:
These often lead to presentation problems. If you cannot do without videos, please make sure that the integrated videos are copied to the data carrier and saved in the same directory as the presentation. Please test data carriers with integrated videos on different computers to ensure integration. One way of integrating various media into PowerPoint is the PACK&GO function, which is available in Microsoft PowerPoint to enable presentations to be played on other computers.
Language of presentation:
The language of the lecture is German or English. The choice is left to the lecturer.
Conflicts of interest:
Please include a conflict of interest statement in your presentation.
